Printing double sided
If you are looking to create professional, sharp documents while helping the environment, you should print double sided. Double sided printing not only saves trees, but it gives your documents a crisp, clean article3 no one can complain about. First, make sure your printer does in fact offer double-sided printing capabilities. On your Windows compatible professional machine, drop down “File” on the menu and then choose the option for “Preferences” or “Properties”. From here, you need to choose the option, “double sided printing”. For Macs, click on “Copies and Pages”, followed by “File”. Then select “Layout”. From here you must choose “Long-Edged Binding”, followed by “Print”.
If you are trying to print double sided from a machine that doesn’t offer automatic duplex printing, like your home printer for instance, when you are ready to print, choose the “File” menu, followed by “Print”. Now choose “odd pages only” or “even pages only”.
If you have a Mac, choose “Print” from the “File” drop down menu. Next, click on the option for “Copies and Pages”. When you are here, choose “Paper handling,” and then choose the same options of “Even pages only” or “Odd pages only”.
After all of the evens have printed, you can reload the paper and print the odds, or vice versa. You may need to consult your user’s manual, though, because many printers require that you put already printed pages face down so that they can print correctly. Many also want you to put the paper in upside down. In many cases the reloading process is exactly the same as the original paper loading process. Be sure to know exactly what type of unit you have, though, because you don’t want to waste time or paper.
