Subscription flyers
Everyone knows that newspaper sales have gone way down. It seems like in the technological world we currently live in that print newspapers are hardly a need—that’s why if you’re in the newspaper business, you need to get the word out and advertise so you get newspaper subscriptions. To learn about newspaper subscriptions, check out Wikipedia.
A great way to get the news out about promotions or the subscriptions in general is to send out one paper for free and have a flyer attached to the first page. Make sure it’s a bright color like red so that those who see the flyer automatically know what the flyer means. Also, you are going to want to have large letters that are easy to read. If a customer sees just a random flyer attached they may assume that it’s junk and throw it away. If you get your point across what you are trying to sell easily those who are interested will know instantly how to get a subscription. It’s important that everything on the flyer is legible and readable, so use a font with a lot of clarity. You also need to make the letters a color that anyone will be able to recognize. Even though yellow may look pretty, it won’t be as easy to read as black.
You will want to include a few things on your flyer. The first thing is obviously the name of the newspaper, and you probably want to include the circulation details. While many papers print daily, many only have Sunday papers. Make sure this is clear to potential buyers. Also, you should include things like how much the paper costs and how often money will be taken out of buyers’ accounts. Is it a one-time payment or monthly? With all of these suggestions, buyers may take a second look and sign up.
